Everyone was very scared of high tied on 23 july just day before high tied was coming to hammer Mumbai,theigh tied of 23 july does really bad effect on Mumbai.my residence is near Dadar Sea Shore so i am able to go Dadar chowpaty on 23 july after school. the scene is really horryfing. waves are hammering sea shore just like Tsunami Waves. and the biggest breaking news if the day is that residence’s wall of Mayer of Mumbai Shubha Raul is broken like broken cup by waves of  Sea. it was just a trailor on the next day the waves became very high that the water of sea come on Cadal road which is bypassing Dadar Chowpaty.

Mahim ,Haji ali,marine drive and cuffe parade to watch high tied roll in.they stood and they gaped. they got soaked and shrinked with joy.

                                          Unlike The Butterfly Effect, his abilities are more passive. It’s probably a coincidence that the latest Bollywood offerings the last week had to do with photographs. In Aa Dekhen Zara, Neil Nitin Mukesh plays a photographer who discovers the secrets of a camera that has (well, I’m not going to let the cat out of the bag) powers to do with time. And in 8×10 Tasveer (photograph), Akshay Kumar plays forest ranger Jai, working for Environmental Protection in Alberta, Canada, who possesses the supernatural ability of transporting his soul back to the past, assuming the point of view of the person in the photograph whom he’s staring at.

Akshay Kumar didn’t get plenty of love from the box office for his previous kung-fu movie Chandni Chowk to China, which I had enjoyed actually. While I find this suspense thriller an above average flick thanks to Kumar’s charismatic presence, one just cannot shrug away the sense of familiarity and deja vu in having watched a version of this film somewhere (someone jog my memory please!). 8×10 Tasveer still contains a decent “whodunnit” storyline that will keep you guessing, but only because it has that rug on standby just beneath your feet, which I think some would cry foul in being thrown an unexpected spanner from the blind side into the works.

Supporting Jai in his quest to seek the truth, even as he subscribes to unorthodox methods, is ex-cop Happi (“Happy with an I”) played by Javed Jaffrey (who voiced the villain Charlie Anna in Roadside Romeo), taking an interest in the publicized death just because he was on the receiving end of tremendous assistance given by Jai’s father in helping him to settle down in a strange new city (of Toronto!). Happi’s an interesting character injected just for some light hearted laughs though, being a character afflicted with OCD and kudos to Jaffrey in having to play this socially awkward character misfit who should have deserved more screen time.

The narrative did feel draggy for a bit, despite clocking just under 2 hours with only one short musical ballad serving as a romantic interlude between Jai and his lady love Sheila (Ayesha Takia). And while you know that at some point Jai will have to perform a brute-force investigation by peeking through the eyes of everyone in a photograph, it just takes a while to get to that stage, before shifting into high gear during the last 30 minutes where you’re likely to be surprised with a sudden turn of events. On one hand there was a sudden lift in the lull of the mystery, but on the other you’d feel it’s one of those plot developments that felt a little of a cop out. It did answer some questions should you rewatch the film though, but seasoned mystery fans would likely clamour for more than the usual.

And does anyone think Akshay Kumar does look like Nicholas Cage with that hang-dog look and closely crop hairdo? That 8×10 Tasveer poster did make Akshay resemble Cage in that Ghost Rider poster, and this film did feel like one which Cage would have no problems stepping into as well. 8×10 Tasveer is decent, though there’s nothing that will particularly make you sit up and exclaim Wow.

Bandra Worli Sea link has been one of the most highly recommended projectof all transport studies done for the metropolitian region during the last forty years.Presently, the Mahim Causeway is the only link connecting the western suburbs to island city of Mumbai. The existing north–southwestern corridor is highly congested and during the peak hours results in a bottleneck at Mahim Causeway. The sea link will act as an alternate route between the western suburbs of Mumbai and central Mumbai, in addition to the existing Mahim Causeway. This link will also form a part of the west island freeway.Vehicular traffic admeasuring about 1,20,000 PCU travels on the Mahim causeway everyday and during peak hours and it takes about forty minutes to travel from Mahim causeway to Worli, a distance of about 8 km

MSRDC, as a part of this project has appointed M/s Dar Consultants (U.K) Ltd. & M/s Dar Consultants (India) Pvt. Ltd. to design, proof check and supervise the various components of the project.

Access will be controlled on the Worli end by toll plazas on the Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Road, and on the Bandra end by toll plazas at Love Grove Junction.

Vehicular traffic measuring about 120,000 PCU travels on the Mahim Causeway everyday and during peak hours and it takes about forty minutes to travel from Mahim to Worli, a distance of about 8 km.

MSRDC has awarded the contract of constructing the Bandra Worli Sea-Link – Package – IV to the HCC (Hindustan Construction Company) and its foreign partner, the China Harbour Engineering Corporation, which has successfully completed similar projects. HCC has the responsibility of maintaining the bridge during the damage liability period of five years.

The original project design was modified to include two separate towers for the main cable stay bridge. In addition to this, the bridge was realigned around 150 meters into the sea and an additional cable stay bridge was introduced at the Worli side to increase the height of the bridge to accommodate the demands of local fishermen of Worli Koliwada to ease the vessel movement under the bridge closer to their habitat. Due to the change in the scope of work, the project was delayed in the initial stages, which resulted in increased project cost. Presently the work is in full swing and the Bandra Worli Sea-Link is expected to be complete by March 2009. The new projected date is almost a year later than earlier estimates.

The Bandra Cable Stay Bridge, part of the Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL) was connected to the approach spans on May 27, 2008. This is a significant milestone towards completion of the Sea Link being built by HCC prior to the onset of Mumbai’s monsoon this season.

The Bandra Cable Stay section of the BWSL spans 600 m in length and towers to a height of 126 m (equivalent to a 43 storied building). The Cable Stay system comprises 2,250 km of high strength galvanized steel wires which support the Cable Stay Bridge weighing 20,000 ton. An engineering marvel and the first ever open Sea Bridge of its kind, the Bandra Worli Sea Link is one of the most complex and advanced construction projects in India.

The project was initiated more than 10 years ago but it was delayed due to public interest litigations and inability on the part of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (MSRDC), which is the main developer of the project, to adhere to the project milestones. Mr Anil Deshmukh, State Public Works Minister (Public Undertakings), addressing the media, said that the original cost of the bridge was Rs 400 crore but due to opposition from the Worli fisherfolk the project was delayed and costs escalated. The project was then Added up more 3.6 km adding up total cost of aroung 1200, escalating it from Rs 400 crore to Rs 1600 crore. Which extended Bandra-Worli Sea Link to 2.0 km to 5.6 km, adding up more 3.6 km which extended it up till Haji Ali. Mr Anil Deshmukh added that the toll on the sea link would be collected for 30 years. For passenger car, the toll would be Rs 30 and for light commercial vehicle, it would be Rs 45.

Project location

• The project starts from the Interchange at Mahim (i.e. intersection of Western Express Highway and Swami Vivekanand road at Bandra) and connects to Worli at Worli end with overall length of 5.6 km for the entire project.

• A cloverleaf interchange at Mahim intersection and a flyover at the Lovegrove intersection have been proposed as part of this project to enhance the faster and safe traffic dispersal.

The tradition of sending Chirstmas cards started in the U.K. in1840.  Sir Henry cole and john Horsley invented a card that displayed three panels .   Several pictures were drawn on these panels.   These included pictures of a family at a festive table and an act of christmas charity,   such as clothing the poor.   At yhe bottm of the card was written ‘Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’.   During thet time,  younge British boys living away from their family while at school wrote home not only to greet their parents, but more importantly  to show them how their writings was progressing.  Today, Christmas cards are sent as a token of holiday affaction and greetings.
